Healthcare Community Organizers wanted

The Healthcare Education Project is hiring several community and lead organizers for a minimum two year assignment doing community health advocacy and other base-building work throughout New York State. We are looking for excellent people with a grounding in one or more New York communities.

Please circulate this to anyone who might be interested. Pay is 48k for leads, and 40k for organizers, plus full 1199 benefits (4 weeks vacation, no co-pay BC/BS health care, dental, vision, etc.) We need people who can move between organizing faith communities, and large numbers-driven legislative campaigns with some ease. We’re looking for creativity, leadership, and people who can be held accountable for relationship building and mass mobilization.

Spanish, Mandarin, Yiddish, Haitian Kreyol, and Russian are all particularly valuable languages.

We are in a race against the clock—any list serves, or group emails you can share this with would be hugely appreciated. I’m happy to answer any questions, but resumes and cover letters should be directed to our Deputy Director, Joshua Gold.
