Herstory March 08 events

Dear Friends of Herstory,

As we settle into our new Centereach “Room of Our Own,” we are going to be sending out regular emails about new workshops and special events. Do forgive us if you receive some of these first mailings more than once, as we perfect our data base and mail merges. With a lively group of volunteers working in our new quarters, we are still looking for software and mail merge help. We hope you will visit our website where we have an updated listing of our ongoing workshops and daylong retreats at http://www.herstorywriters.org/happen3d.html We hope also that you try out our new Building Bridges workshop series, sponsored by Bay Shore Unitarian Fellowship’s Social Justice Committee, offered for six weeks at the Fellowship at 28 Brentwood Road, 6:30 -8:30pm. This workshop is designed to bring together women newly released from prison and women from the community. http://www.herstorywriters.org/gen-conn-bayshore-2008.html

March 29th– Eileen Fisher’s Easthampton store is again dedicating a day of shopping to Herstory, offering a $25 discount with 10% of the proceeds dedicated to Herstory’s work with women in prison and in the community. If you are unable to come to the store on that day but would like to participate, you are welcome to call the store to preorder with processing happening on the 29th. This year, in a more active partnering, there will be spontaneous readings on body image by Herstory members sprinkled throughout the day.
