Another round of: Maybe a 3rd Party Debate?

Eek! I hate to start the expectation and rumor mill going again…especially since I only have this from one source. But, maybe…could it be…we would want to hold the date open, if….there might be another chance at a Third Party Debate for Presidential Campaign 2008?

In a posting by another presidential candidate–Frank McEnulty (not one of the top 6 candidates who could win in the electoral college, but someone who is serious)–it is suggested that there may be a Third Party Presidential Debate on Tuesday, October 28th, in California…

Disappointing that the recent debate was only independent Ralph Nader and Constitution Party candidate Chuck Baldwin. I know logistics on these things are so difficult. At least their debate went well and showed up profound a genuine discussion by candidates can be.

I have no word of this new, CA debate from anywhere else. And, have not seen it posted on any Cynthia lists or sites…But, for what it is worth…pencil it in for now…

The posting is here and below:

My final debate as a Presidential Candidate for the 2008 election will be occurring this coming Tuesday, October 28th at Cypress Community College in their theater from 2 PM until 4 PM.

Cypress Community College is located in the City of Cypress, California at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Valley View Street just a couple miles or so east of the 605 Freeway. If you can break away to see the debate I will greatly appreciate the support.

In addition to myself, Cynthia McKinney of the Green Party and Matt Gonzalez, Ralph Nader’s VP, have confirmed so far.

I’ve been getting a lot of supportive email from voters in Colorado where I am on the ballot as the Presidential candidate. If you know anyone in Colorado, please remember to point them towards my website.

We’ve heard from the Democrats a lot the last 18 months about how well things went under President Clinton. What they always seem to leave out, however, was that President Clinton was working with a Republican Congress most of the time he was in office. As I’ve said before, gridlock is good as it leads to good policies and a stronger country. Look at the disaster we had with the Republicans controlling everything the last 6 of 8 years. Absolute power corrupts absolutely and that has never been shown as clear as when the Republicans controlled Congress and the White House.
