Barbara West needs to read the New Testament

In the interview pictured above, the interviewer, Barbara West seemed to be using all the Republican talking points and attack ideas. In one question, West mirrors the Republican accusation that the Democrats are socialist because their tax plans would allegedly redistribute wealth. West uses “From each according to his ability, to each according to his need” as a proof of Marxist immorality.  I guess Barbara West never read these passages from the Bible:

And all that believed were together, and had all things common; And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. (Acts 2:44-45)
Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, and laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need. (Acts 4:34-35)

In fact, neither the Democrats nor the Democratic Candidate for President are noble enough to be considered socialists. Indeed, they do not even care about the working class. The Democratic Candidate and the Republican Candidate conspired to support a bailout which saved banks and CEO’s (under cover of “no golden parachute” it allowed them to keep some of their salary, keep their jobs, and not be criminally prosecuted as they should have been). Neither the Democratic Candidate nor the Republican Candidate support single-payer health care, because they consider it socialism. When, in fact, a single-payer system could be effectively done by keeping doctors and hospitals as separate, competing, individual entities, which Americans are simply given funds to afford to go to. Americans already believe in government support of health care such as Medicaire and Worker’s Compensation. We just need to get everyone covered, instead of only certain people who qualify.
