On Saturday, March 28th at 7pm, Eve Ensler’s award winning compilation of monologues finally comes to the Latino Community of The Hamptons. V-Day is a global movement to stop violence against women and girls. V-Day is a catalyst that promotes creative events to increase awareness, raise money and revitalize the spirit of existing anti-violence organizations. V-Day generates broader attention for the fight to stop violence against women and girls.

For the more than ten years that V-Day has existed, never has it been given a Spanish voice in the Hamptons until now. Bienvenidos Los Monalogos de la Vagina!!!

Directed by Minerva Perez Scelza and featuring community leaders such as Isabel Sepulveda and Sandra Dunn, this production will celebrate the strength and beauty of the women in our Latino community. You are welcome to attend this event even if you do not speak Spanish. As with any non-English opera, there will be a basic libretto outlining the topics of each monologue.

The evening will begin at 7pm and will feature live music, free concession goodies by Hampton Coffee Company, gift bags by Avon, DJ Chile, and more!!

A portion of the proceeds will go to The Retreat, a domestic violence shelter on LI.

OLA of Eastern LI is a not-for-profit serving the Latino Community of the East End through educational, social advocacy and cultural awareness programs and forums. As part of its mission OLA serves as a bridge to the non-Latino community via its Spanish Immersion Class, Latino Film Festival, and other Bilingual / Multicultural events.
