NY-23 Congressional Race: Looks like the Democrat won

Well, I didn’t want to care about this race. At the beginning, the only choices on the ballot were: A Democrat; a Republican; and a Republican running on the Conservative Party line. Not much hope for a third party, progressive.

Though, my interest was peeked when the Republican dropped out of the race. And, Sarah Palin, and all the Conservatives around the country started thinking they could prove something by helping elect a Conservative who would caucus with Republicans.

Well, hopefully, the right wing, ultra-Conservatives lost. Air America and The Albany Project are both calling the win for Democrat Bill Owens now. (Although, Elizabeth Benjamin at the Daily News notes that there are over 10,000 paper ballots in this race. Guess things could still change…)
