The only way that the Green Party can regain ballot status in NY is to get 50,000 votes for their Governor candidate in 2010. This opportunity comes only once every four years, and it only applies to the Governor’s race. Gaining ballot status will enable the Green Party to run more peace candidates, more single-payer candidates, more anti-fracking candidates, and more sustainable energy candidates. The last time that the Green Party of New York State had ballot status it set the record for running the most Green candidates of any state. |
Hello everyone. I am sending you all this message to inform you that I am running for the U.S. Senate for the State of New York and to solicit your support with my campaign. It will be a tough journey as I will be running against a formidable opponent in the incumbent Sen Charles Schumer.
Today, we held our first press conference to announce my candidacy. It was an exciting moment that I will always remember but the critical work of campaigning has now begun.
To be on the ballot in November, we need New York voters to sign petitions. Therefore we need a large number of people to join our Petition Committee and attend festivals and other public events throughout the summer. The Petition Committee is for New York State only and must be completed between July 6 thru August 14, 2010. A Chairperson and coordinators will be appointed. For those interested in this position, please call me at 646-657-7207. Please send e-mail to coliaclark@gmail.com.
We also need volunteers to join our Facebook fan pages at http://www.facebook.com/ColiaClark and http://www.facebook.com/StudentsforColiaClark to spread the word about the campaign
At this point, our campaign needs your help. Our campaign has a great need for volunteers to staff our committees and campaign team. We require your immediate assistance with our Petition Committee, Platform Committee and Fund Raising committee.
The Platform Committee will help conduct research and develop the platform for the campaign. To join this committee, send email to clclarks721@gmail.com. It does not matter your location in the State, we can work by Internet and telephone conference call.
The Fund Raising Committee will raise the funds needed to compete. I need each of your help with a mass fund raising appeal. To join, please send email at clclarks721d@gmail.com and place Fund Raising in the subject box.
Please volunteer for a Committee. I need your help in making this a successful campaign. It takes a whole people to build a village. Come join me in building a Green village in New York State and across the USA.
****** Please donate to the campaign by sending checks or money order to
