  2. Jeff Peress, a Green from Nassau County, sent around these poll-watching observations:

    Date: Tuesday, November 2, 2010, 2:13 PM

There was a reported problem with one of the machines in Locust Valley ,Nassau County. There was a problem with the machine and they had to get voters to vote on paper ballots. They replaced the machine so I don’t know if that is going to be counted or how if the machine works or not.

That is my summary of report so far.

    Another update on poll watching.

There are two of those electronic machines I was #270 on the public counter out of #448 total.

I also showed the certificate and spoke with the elections supervisors about the privacy booths being away from the walls at the polling place in Glen Cove’s 2nd ED/13AD,13ED/13AD being in the middle of the room where people can see you vote that it should be near the walls so no one can see you vote. There answer was they could not put it there due to the ground rules of St. Paul’s Church where the voting place is. I am going to call the Nassau BOE to report it.

For anyone that has more info on what to do please forward this and report it other wise they were very cooperative and informed the voters about the propositions that were on the back of the ballot.
