Something beautiful for Valentine’s Day

Do you still need a special gift for a special someone for Valentine’s Day?

There is a store on your way out east on Long Island, that Ian and I always love to visit. Whenever I go in, I see all the jewelry sparkling, the scarves, and many-colored textiles, and I just want to take something home.  I also want to share this beautiful oasis of meaningful gifts with all of our friends. The store is Green Earth Natural Foods Market. It’s in Riverhead, so not too far of a trip for us, especially if we are headed that way for a drive towards nature.

The owner Steve has a beautiful spirit, and believes strongly in right livelihood. He nurtures and informs all the aspects of the store — the health food groceries, vitamins and supplements, the deli (with sublime vegetarian choices), and the gifts. Recently, they opened up their shop to local visual artists, so there is a gallery of artwork on display and for sale. You can often hear live music playing, either a performance, or a guest to the Cafe just adding to the harmonies. Green Earth is truly worth visiting and supporting.

It would be lovely if you could “like” the page, and spread the word about this unique, uplifting local business.
