Ralph Nader Writes 5-Page Summary of How Pennsylvania State Courts have been Incompetent on Ballot Access
June 27th, 2011

Ralph Nader has written this five-page letter to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, setting forth the story of incompetence and dishonesty by most members of that Court, over the past seven years, in relation to Pennsylvania’s petition-checking procedures and the Court’s handling of the issue.

Background: Nader’s letter is about how unfair it is that a Nader petition campaign was still blamed and fined, after it was clear from another scandal — “Bonusgate” — that there was a government conspiracy to go after the petitions. In fact, it was proven during Bonusgate that government workers, on the clock, were part of the partisan challenge against the Nader petitions. The situation is a huge injustice, that the Pennsylvania courts have never fixed, and have made worse by punishing the Nader campaign. The letter Nader has written is to Chief Justice Ronald Castille. Nader addresses Justice Castille’s comments in the opinion “In Re Farnese”. One quote from Nader is, “Such distortion of facts, if not deliberate, is inexplicable.”
