Very Special Guest Features:
EMMA ZALE
Songstress Emma is not only returning back to Long Island, but is also embracing her melodic rock roots once again, this time around with new material. Her colorful musical travels have taken Emma to all corners of the globe, as a singer/songwriter in Sydney, Australia where she also worked on policy development for the Aboriginal Movement at PIAC (Public Interest Advocacy Center), as a madrigal singer throughout Europe for several years, later with numerous appearances on national television (and especially as a regular on The Joe Franklin Television Show on WWOR-TV for many years), as an artist on Vagabond Records produced by Frank Carillo, as keyboardist for the metal band “The Rods” and “Jack Starr”, as a jingle writer for John Sander’s Productions, and most recently as a songwriter for several country and pop artists.

Emma’s music has touched the lives of many, starting as a classical pianist winning the Merle Howard Memorial Prize For Piano Performance after attending Manhattan School of Music. Ms. Zale founded the I.W.O. (International Women’s Organization For The Preservation of Live Music) which was instrumental in getting numerous artists international recognition, music seminar workshops, and networking opportunities within their fields. Taking this a step further, Emma became an associate professor at Five Towns College, teaching music publishing and copyright law to fellow Long Islanders, while consistently being voted by readers of Good Times Magazine to the Favorite Female Rock Vocalist Category for several years. Fueled by her music entertainment attorney friends’ energy, Emma obtained a law degree and is currently practicing law in New York and New Jersey. For more info, please contact: www.emmazale.com

GLENN PETTIT
Born and raised near NYC, currently living in MA, Glenn has been part of numerous music and literary scenes for over 20 years. A self proclaimed “Delta-Punk/Egyptian Reggae Fingerpicker,” he’s often compared stylistically to such contemporaries as Bruce Cockburn and Lou Reed. His improbable mix of Folk-Blues, Eastern Music and other Anti-Elements has been making it’s presence felt on an unsuspecting public in numerous radio/television appearances, ads, theatrical productions and recordings. His credits include performances in such diverse venues as New York’s Sidewalk Cafe and CBGB, Club Passim in Cambridge MA, plus countless roadhouses, cellars, galleries and schools across North America. Having jammed or shared stages with such disparate luminaries as: the late Blues guitarist (and Jorma Kaukonen mentor), Ian Buchannan; ShimmyDisc producer, Kramer; and folksinger, Dar Williams… Glenn’s hope for the future is to “put all the wrong notes in all the right places.”
CHRISTINE COOPER
Christine grew up in wild West Wales where the sea eats the land inch by inch. She collects and pieces together dusty fragments of stories and melodies, poetry and song, to create jigsaw-worlds of fragile beauty. Winner of several awards for her fiddle playing, Christine has worked with respected Welsh group Fernhill since 2004, with whom she has toured internationally. As a solo performer, Christine uses live loops and voice to gently blow away the thin layer of dust that has settled over old folk songs, handling the delicate fabric of the music with care and creativity. This will be her second trip to the US, after her 2009 performance at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival on the Mall in Washington DC.
