Pat Falk read her poem “Rain” from her forthcoming book “Common Violence.”  Falk is local poet and Professor of English at Nassau Community College. Among her many awards are The National League of American Pen Women and SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Creative Work. Her writing has also appeared in the New York Times Book Review. The Hank Stone Band performed  “Until I Saw that Train.”  Hank Stone has been playing at every open mic he could find for many years and now he has really made his mark on the Long Island Music Scene. His voice has been compared to Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp. His unique guitar style is instantly recognizable. HIs songs are influenced by everything from pop to rock to folk to blues,to jazz to classical to reggae. He has received many awards and has been included in many compilations.
