It’s a Copper Rose Weekend! On Friday, May 16th, we’ll once again be headlining at The Spoon coffeehouse in Lindenhurst (125A South Wellwood Ave., just south of the tracks) from 7:30-10:30 pm. Come down for some great food or amazing coffee and dessert, and lots of Cajun, blues and classic tunes as well as our own original music. We’ve just returned from a week in Louisiana so there will be a big helping of freshly served Cajun sound. The Spoon was recently rated as the #1 coffeehouse on Long Island – well deserved!
On Sunday, May 18th, we’ll be part of the First Annual Community Festival at Ross Memorial Park on Brentwood Road in Brentwood (just south of Suffolk Ave. and the railroad tracks). The festival runs from noon to 5:00 pm and we’re scheduled to go on approximately at 2:25 for a half hour set. The Brentwood Chamber of Commerce and Teatro Experimental Yerbabruja – a not for profit arts/social change organization sponsors this festival. A wonderful day is planned, full of art, workshops, music, and great food – fun for the whole family!
Later in the month (5/24), Copper Rose will be part of a benefit for Wounded Warriors – Iraq veterans and their families. More news on this to follow.
