Activists Frack Themselves

say no to fracking

During last year’s election, anti-fracking activists wasted time protesting Andrew Cuomo.  He could care less.  All he cared about was money and votes, and they did not get in the way of either.  Fracking activists ignored calls to raise funds for and get votes for fracking-ban governor candidates like the Green Party’s Howie Hawkins.  Now the chickens have come home to roost.  Cuomo announced today that he is banning fracking in the NYC and Syracuse watersheds, and the rest of the state can go to fracking hell.

Worse off, anti-fracking activists were fooled by the Working Family Parties (WFP) call for a fracking moratorium. Moratorium is merely latin for hold off the issue until after the election when we can frack them over.  It’s hard to believe that anyone would trust the WFP after they sold out the anti-war movement in 2006, and then sold out their own union base in 2010.  Does WFP now stand for the War Fracking party?  Believe it or not, the WFP is trying to rally support for the same anti-union, pro-fracking Andrew Cuomo that they sold their soul to in the last election to ban fracking statewide.  Wanna buy a used bridge?.

The Moral:  If you don’t work for what you want, you won’t get it.  Or as Jerry Garcia said, “If you keep choosing the lesser evil, you are still choosing evil.”
