LI buses to 1/27/07 Mobe

Editor’s Note: PeaceSmiths is having a bus to Washington on January 27th  leaving from  LIRR Seaford Station for $35.  For information, call PeaceSmiths at (631) 798-0778


 The South Country Peace Group is joining the national effort to get people to Wash DC on Saturday, Jan. 27 by organizing a bus leaving Suffolk County.

There will be a massive anti-war march and rally on this day. The focus will be on the new Congress. Please see www.unitedforpeace.org for additional information about this national effort.

The exact pick up time and pick up locations have not been determined yet, but if you want to be sure that you have a seat on the 55 seat Classic Coach bus we are using, please send your check in the amount of $35.00 to SCPG member Karen Sackett at 11 Lilly Court , Moriches NY 11955 . The check should be written out to South Country Peace Group Inc.

Please be advised however that your check will not be refundable in the event you are unable to go. This is because the SCPG has a monetary commitment to the bus company as stated in our contract with them.

While definite bus pick up locations have not been determined yet, the Exit 63 (LIE) park & ride lot is likely to be one of them. Communication is currently on going with other organizations to learn the status of other buses that may be organized. This may determine the pick points for the SCPG bus.
