LONG ISAND PRIDE CHORUS – Music Director Cindy Quart founded in l992, advocates for the acceptance of the lesbian, gay, transgendered, and bi-sexual community in all its diversity, creating connections to and between local organizations; member group of GALA, the Gay and Lesbian Assn. of choruses – will perform at the 2008 GALA festival in Miami; fostering the musical ability of its members and encouraging new ones (being “out” not required for sharing pride!).
JULIE RAINEY-MCCABE – poet incisive commentary on what’s going on in the world today and on how we deal with it as individuals; has read at local Libraries and on WBAI and recently, briefly at PeaceSmiths and we wanted more right away!; working on 2 books – a nonfiction work and her soon to be published Poems of a Soul Sound.
