Bellone disses working stiffs in 2008.

The Babylon Town Board Meeting schedule is out for 2008, and there are only 2 meetings set for after work hours.  That’s right. Only two 7pm meetings

Only 2 Town Board meetings set for those who work 9-5.  One at 7pm on April 9th, and one for 7pm on May 27th.

All the rest of the Babylon Town Board meetings for  the year are set for either 3:30 PM or 10 AM.  So if you work 9 – 5, you are out of luck.

I guess that’s what happens when you increase Supervisor Bellone’s term from 2 years to 4 years.  It seems he doesn’t feel he has to be responsible to the regular working citizens in Babylon.

What can you do?

  1. Demand Bellone amend the 2008 Town Board schedule to include more meetings after hours.  They amend meeting dates all the time.
  2. Demand that they require Cablevision to tape town board meetings and put them on Channel 18.  Cablevision has to negotiate contracts with the town to have service in that town.  Other towns have required Cablevision  to broadcast their town board meetings.

You can call the Supervisor’s office at 631-957-3072.
