WBAI is a community radio stations with a mission of peace and justice. The Clearwater Hudson River Revival Festival happens every summer. The festival is a way for musicians and environmentalists to celebrate and support the Hudson River, and educate the public about how to help with environmental and ecological causes. (They often need volunteers, and volunteering is very fun – like a weekend of grown-up summer camp.) For the last several years, WBAI radio station has had a booth at the festival, and provided live coverage of the festival at WBAI 99.5 FM in NYC. Having this coverage gives voice to people such as…Raging Grannies, festival goers, folk musicians, Green Party candidates, PeaceSmiths, Wespac, and other community organizations, etc.
A Benefit for WBAI…to make it possible to broadcast live from the Clearwater Festival this summer…
