Green Drinks Long Island would like to thank all those who took part in our June 21st event – Summer Solstice 2007 at Off The Wall Restaurant in Huntington. As our inaugural event, it was a smash hit with over 70 participants. The free event went exactly as we hoped it would with plentiful, delicious food and drink and a spirit graced with goodwill and high energy. People met, exchanged ideas and information, made plans, collaborated, committed to projects and ventures, joined organizations, and just had a great time!
Green Drinks Long Island is committed to providing, on a regular basis, networking events for those of us on Long Island who are interested in matters of energy, the environment, green business and municipal initiatives. Most of the other two hundred plus Green Drinks chapters around the world hold their gatherings monthly and we plan to do the same when we get up to speed. We believe that Long Island can be a leader in green initiatives, the next generation of energy generating technology and green business. Green Drinks Long Island will provide a platform to encourage such dynamics.
We are a growing organization and ask for your feedback, your continued participation in our programs and your activities and events for posting in our notices. We also seek volunteers to assist us in the administration and promotion of Green Drinks Long Island. We are in the process of developing our email list and ask that you contribute to this endeavor by asking friends and associates to contact us at davidpsibek@yahoo.com to join our email list and receive notices of our events, programs and other activities related to energy, green business and the environment around Long Island.
