‘Huntington Columns’

Made entirely out of bamboo, jute rope & solar light
Columns will be built with public participation June 14-20

Reception Friday, June 20th 7pm

Fair Meadow Park, Park Ave and Pulaski Road, Huntington NY.
Parking across the street at Citibank.

Opening reception with performances inspired by the columns,
to include music, voice, dance, and the spoken word.

The Public is invited to join Thea Lanzisero, and guest artists including Sydra Nightingale to participate in the creation of this innovative bamboo colonnade – An architectural homage to the monumental colonnade at the temple of Aman Ra in Karnak, Egypt.

The columns will be situated on a one hundred square footprint, 25 columns in 5 rows of 5 and incorporated with solar panels and lights After dusk the columns are lit from within with solar powered light and glow into the night.

Fair Meadow Park at Park Ave and Pulaski Road, Huntington NY. Parking across the street at Citibank

    If the economics don’t work, recycling efforts won’t either.
