FIRST TIME EVER-ALL RACES TO HAVE A THIRD PARTY CAMPAIGNS

Connecticut Green Party officials and Congressional Campaigns announced today that they have filed over 16,000 signatures for Congressional races and plan on having all 5 CT Congressional races with a Green Party candidate in the race. With the ballot line for the Greens in the 3rd Congressional already secure, for the first time in history, all the Congressional districts will have a third party candidate, they announced.
Filings were submitted for:

U.S. Representative, 2nd Congressional District: G.Scott Deshefy Candidate website
U.S. Representative, 4th Congressional District: Richard Duffee Candidate website
U.S. Representative, 5th Congressional District: Harold Burbank Candidate website
In the 3rd District (New Haven area) Ralph Ferrucci is running on that already secure ballot line.
Green Party officials explained that each Congressional district need between 2000 to 2,500 valid signatures in each race, and each campaign submitted close to 4,000 signatures.
SIGNATURES WERE ALSO SUBMITTED FOR CYNTHIA MCKINNEY FOR PRESIDENT AND SIX CANDIDATES FOR STATE SENATE AND STATE HOUSE IN CONNECTICUT’S GENERAL ASSEMBLY.
This is the largest filing in Connecticut’s history for a “third party” and Greens would like to thank dozens and dozens of people who volunteered in the heat of the summer.” said Mike DeRosa, Green Party Co-Chair.
