Update: Hillary Clinton and Roland Burris

Some stories that might be important to our readers (though, I bet you heard the news elsewhere.)

Hillary Clinton has been confirmed as Secretary of State. (That means she is no longer a Senator for New York. And, New York has an open Senate seat which will be appointed by Governor Paterson.)

Roland Burris has been seated in the Senate as a Senator for Illinois. While the background scandal with Governor Rod Blagojevich is not resolved, they allowed his appointment of Burris to go through. Burris has already be assigned to two committees in the Senate.
