Liaquat Ali Shaikh, founding member and co-chair of Pakistan Green Party, will be visiting New York City from Sunday, April 26 to Tuesday, April 28, and will be on hand to meet members of the media for interviews. This appearance in New York ends Ali Shaikh’s U.S. tour. He has already visited Houston, Austin, New Orleans, Chicago, Washington D.C. and Philadelphia.
Ali Shaikh also founded ‘Pakistan Greens,’ an environmental political movement and network. He is also a founding member of the Asia Pacific Greens Network. He holds a Masters degree in public administration/ policy from the University of Sindh (Pakistan) and in public health from the University of Sheffield (UK).
Ali Shaikh founded a public health consultancy firm, serving as CEO and putting to use his expertise in reproductive health, young people’s health, and gender-related health policies. He has worked for eight years in international organizations, holding various posts. He has served as President of Youth, leading Youth Action for Pakistan.
