NY STATE SENATE

TO VOTE ON

NEW  DEATH PENALTY BILLS:

      VOICE YOUR OPPOSITION

IT’S UNACCEPTABLE…    Our representatives are ignoring the message you have been loudly sending : New Yorkers do not want and do not need the death penalty!… Even when this week a Newsday poll found  that New Yorkers now overwhelmingly prefer life imprisonment over capital punishment, with only 38% supporting the death penalty, our governor has begun a renewed push for the speedy reinstatement of the death penalty. And the NY State Senate has given him the go-ahead!  On March 7, they voted 2 pro-death  bills out of committee and onto the floor, one for murder of police officers and one for broader reinstatement. The full Senate will vote very soon on these two bills. Don’t let your senator voice on your behalf an opinion that is not your own….      VOICE YOUR OPPOSITION TO THE     REINSTATEMENT OF THE DEATH PENALTY!HOW:

ONE QUICK NOTE, OR ONE QUICK E-MAIL,OR ONE QUICK CALL, OR ONE QUICK FAX TO YOUR STATE SENATOR (NOT SCHUMER OR CLINTON!).LET THEM KNOW….* You are a constituent* You are opposed to the reinstatement of the death penalty in New York because….
