Saturday, January 6 ….The annual first Saturday of the month Counter Recruitment demonstration will take place in front of the Patchogue recruiting office on Main Street , Patchogue (east of library) from 11:00 am to 1:00 PM. In light of the fact that the 3,000th American soldier was just killed in Iraq this event will take on a more memorial vigil type of character with candles, flowers etc—similar to what has been done at the Huntington recruiting office.
Also on Saturday from 11:00-11:45 AM will be the weekly Women In Black Vigil at the corner of Station Road & Old Country Road in Bellport. If you attend this you still will have time to get to Patchogue for part of the CR event.
And on Friday afternoon from 4:00-4:45 PM the regular weekly Women In Black Vigil continues in Sayville at the corner of Railroad Ave & Main St .
