Donations needed……………………….. Help run a Green Party primary in NY

We’re on a Mission:

The Green Party wants to run its own primary in New York State!

Can you help us raise the money needed to send a ballot (and information) to our 20,000 plus enrolled Green Party members?

If you can help, please donate here. (Or see where to send a check below.)

The Green Party is an alternative to the corporate-controlled Republican Party and Democratic Party. The Green Party’s four pillars are: Social and Economic Justice, Grassroots Democracy, Ecological Wisdom, and Peace/Non-violence. In order to enroll “Green Party” in New York State, people took a giant step, and registered their conscience with their local Board of Elections. We need to gather these voices together. It will take a lot of effort and funds, but we think that in this political season, we need to contact every like-minded voter to ask for help and input.

In order to mail to every enrolled Green in New York State, we will need about $13,000. If we raise $10,000 by April 1st, we can get the job done. (And, if we don’t match the goal, we can use the money raised to get our presidential candidate on the ballot and get the message out about their campaign.)

If we succeed, every Green in New York State will receive a mailing that includes a primary ballot with our current presidential candidates: Cynthia McKinney, Kent Mesplay, Jesse Johnson, and Kat Swift. The Green Party’s electoral ethics also include the right to vote for a “write in” candidate or to vote “none of the above.”

You can watch our progress with the donation thermometer at the GPNYS web-site: www.gpnys.org.

And, for more information you can contact GPNYS Treasurer, Paul Culley at culleypt@frontiernet.net or 607-587-8114. To participate in this momentous, party-building effort, please go to www.gpnys.org to donate on-line. Or mail a check to our GPNYS treasury team:
