Dear supporters,

My Idea

No Sweat Apparel has fallen on tough times. We survive by a thread, albeit an astonishingly sturdy one so far. We have some reason to believe that we have found a major funder at last so we can have the adequate resources we’ve always needed to thrive. That’s the good news. In the nearer term, we were just named finalists in ideablob’s March contest. If we win we get

$20,000 (as cardholders) to grow our business. I’d like to ask each of you to go here….

log in and vote. It’s easy, takes 5 minutes, tops & the privacy/security is very good, so no spam. & if it’s not too much to ask, please share this as widely as possible. We’re down but we’re not out, not yet.

Thx for all.

In solidarity,

Adam

Dr. Martin Luther King

No Sweat Apparel’s new line of organic cotton T-shirts is produced at a sweatshop-free Palestinian owned factory on Virgin Mary Street in Bethlehem. Here’s a link to an al Jazeera segment about the project.

Our Jewish, Israeli & US mainstream press has been just as positive.

Apparently we’ve found an elusive piece of common ground- more good jobs for Palestinians in Palestine will help the situation. While economic development is no substitute for a diplomatic settlement, no settlement can survive without a sustainable Palestinian economy. So while waiting for a diplomatic resolution we have created a mechanism for ordinary citizens to build good will on the ground & support the peace to come. We’re marketing these T-shirts wholesale (blank or custom printed) to Jewish, Muslim, Christian & secular schools & camps in the US, Canada & Israel. And online as always at www.NoSweatShop.com .

The concept is simple. When faced with an apparently irresolvable conflict, if there is any one thing all parties agree on- do that one thing and see what happens.
