The editors of this site were happy to see Governor Paterson come out in opposition to the Broadwater project, and in favor of an aggressive solar economy for NY. We have long opposed the Broadwater project (including our creation of the Anti-Broadwater video with Maureen Dolan from CCE speaking at the Babylon Greens gathering posted here) and have pushed for an economy based on renewable energy.
We are left with 2 questions: Now that the State and Federals representatives from NY & CT are united in the opposition to the Broadwater project, will the Bush administration attempt to override our opposition? Will Governor Paterson also come out for offshore wind as part of a renewable energy package?
