below is a letter copied verbatim from a prisoner whose case we are now fully investigating up in warren county…the coma part has been varified by the hospital..you would expect this in rural areas in the deep south but it is all too common here. we are asking our good friend and fervid anti rockefeller drug law activist , NYAG Andrew Cuomo to immediately open an investigation..the kunstler fund will be monitoring the entire legal process and shooting a documentary…Please pass this around. if you would like to participate in the investigation call 212 924 6980…

Dear Mr. Credico,

Good morning. My name is Darren Robinson and I’m writing to you in regards of my present situation as well as our conversation last night. You informed me to write you today before you arrive in Albany.
On February 24th, 2008, I was driving in a town called Glens Falls, NY. I had just come home from church (where I attend every Sunday) dropped my wife and three daughters off (ages 7, 6 and 4 years old) and my wife was pregnant at the time. Now we’re only out here because my wife’s family lives a town over from Glens Falls.
I’m driving down the street and see a cop car following me. Once I drive down a dark street he pulls me over. He comes up to my car and asks me when’s the last time I saw his sister. I’m puzzled by the question, then when I look at his face good I see it’s this racist cop who’s sister I used to deal with (he hated me dealing with her)...
I need your help. They are trying to give me 20 years or go to trial. I need to expose there people. They give people of color more time than they do white’s (you can check the statistics, I have proof of this first hand).
I have a lawsuit on the police department. I need your help. My family needs me. My wife had a miscarriage from all of this. Me and my family are in church every Sunday. My community knows me. Whatever you can do to help me, please I’m very grateful. Thank you for your time, it is again highly appreciated.

Respectful,
Darren Robinson

One Response

  1. The actions of the police officers in this particular are nothing short of reprehensible. Yet, such abuses occur throughout the land and are and remain unreported. Through a camera’s watchful eye and incidences exceeding the bounds of reason wherein citizens are either severly hurt or die are the only ones to seemingly reach the public domain. Unsuspectingly a more vicious and, yes, pernicious injustice is taking place more and more – this time it is right in the court room and under the judge’s noses.

Since the Big 9 have changed and the criminal laws and enforcement thereof have shifted in favor of the prosecution, the practise and extent of manipulating the system and it’s laws has grown. I’m currently following a case in Orange County California, where the DA lied about the location of one of the defendants. In possession at the time of all the evidence, the DA passed around to each attorney a schedule showing the location of each of the defendants. Strangely, this document left off 4 critical dates. From the information then available from the above document, which the DA declared was obtained from the FBI, no assertion could fairly have been made as to the location of the specific defendant. The judge was precluded from asking for additional information which would have established with certainty whether the defendant was present at the time the crime was committed. After the defendant was held over for trial on all charges pending, and after spending a year in jail, he finally copped a plea, obtaining a deal for a lighter sentence if he were to testify.

This is just one type of abuse that is becoming more and more prevalent in the justice system. We talk often of physical abuse, but we forget about the abuse of the system by both law enforcement and prosecutors – an abuse that is often worse in its impact than that of physical injury.
