Jack’s Waterfall — an eclectic, high-energy, LI-based acoustic ensemble fronted by composer and multi-instrumentalist Jack Licitra, whose music fuses jazz, blues, folk, pop and global rhythms — plays the Grounds and Sounds Café at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Stony Brook on Nichols Road (just north of Route 247, near the university). The 8:45 p.m. performance is preceded by an open mic at 8 p.m. Jack also leads a drum circle at 7:30 p.m. (www.groundsandsounds/uufsb.org). $15.

Patricia Shih, a talented LI-based singer-songwriter and national award-winning children’s artist, marks her 40th year as a professional musician as she performs a rare concert featuring her music for adults (with hubby Stephen Fricker on bass) for the Our Times Coffeehouse at the Ethical Humanist Society, 38 Old Country Road , Garden City. 8 p.m. (www.ourtimescoffeehouse.org). $15.

Sunday, 6/15

Pat Wictor (gifted and rootsy singer-songwriter, song stylist and lap-style slide guitarist) celebrates the release of his new CD, Sunset Waltz, as he performs with percussionist extraordinaire Cheryl Prashker at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum, 440 Montauk Highway, Great River. 2 p.m. (www.islipartscouncil.org). 631-224-5420.
