Elizabeth Benjamin has posted late morning updates on her Daily News political blog: here. Some important items from her list:

Governor Paterson has called press conference at 12:30pm (topic not announced)
Dean Skelos and Pedro Espada have called a news conference at 2:30pm

The Democrats’ strategy seems to woo back Espada (being investigated for redirecting money) and/or Monserrate (accused of slashing his girlfriend)

Al Sharpton had a demonstration in Monserrate’s district pressuring Monserrate to rejoin the Democrats [KW: Who would want him?]
