The Commack Community Association and other members of the Commack community are fighting a school district plan to sell 9 acres of land, donated to the district, to a developer. The land is the Marion Carll Farm, where school children used to be able to visit for field trips.

The Commack School Board proposes the quick sale of a historic farm, the 1860 Marion Carll property, for $750,000 to a developer. A Community association says that the one week notice to the community is too short, and says the June 24 vote should be delayed.
