Trump on the Ocean is Ended!!!

For all the tragedy Hurricane Sandy caused in so many people’s lives, it did bring the NY State Parks Department and — even more amazingly — Donald Trump to their senses.

NY’s Tea Party Guv Gives 1% a Tax Cut

IW: I figured it was the media swallowing NY Guv Cuomo’s PR wholesale when they were reporting he was hiking taxes on the wealthy.  Cuomo got elected with contributions from the Koch Bros.  Cuomo stated before taking office that the rich are taxed too much already.  Cuomo refused to ever discuss repealing the rebate of the stock transfer [...]

Sloppy Transcript: Chris Hedges speaks to Occupy Wall Street

Link to a youtube of the Chris Hedges interview: here. (An interview on Sunday Morning 9/25/2011. Ended at about 12:15pm) Chris Hedges stopped by the Occupy Wall Street encampment, and after a slow start, they fed him excellent questions. Great stuff. Sorry for the sloppy notes, typing in real time! Most of these are quotes [...]

Int’l Business Times “article” on the Fed: Important info (hold the opinion)

KW writes: A fascinating piece at IBTimes. New information shows that in addition to the TARP funds and bank bailout that Americans know about, there were secret loans from the Federal Reserve to private banks. And, did you know that our US Federal Reserve secretly loaned money to foreign banks? What is that about? My [...]

Credo lies about Funding Pro-War Politicians

Credo mobile, the cell phone company has a brochure out that says they don’t back pro-war politicians.  That’s a lie.  They back Obama. they back Clinton.  they back Pelosi. All of them are just as much, if not more, pro-war than the picture of Michelle Bachman they put on the cover of the brochure. Credo [...]

Green Party join NY UnCut Protest against Guv Cuomo’s Tea Party Budget

“Wisconsin showed us that working people don’t have to roll over and just take the attacks on their living standards from the two major parties. In Wisconsin, the Republican Governor led the attacks. In NY, it has been a Democrat Governor, who began attacking public workers and their modest pensions months before he was elected. [...]

NY Tea Party hates Democracy 4/7/11

IW: The Tea Party seems no different than the Democratic and Republican Parties that also exclude Green Party candidates. “With all of their talk of the Constitution and Democracy,” he said, “you would not expect them to be as hypocritical as they are.” “It’s bull—- that they didn’t invite me. It says right on the [...]

Election Outcomes: How the 2010 elections made history, affected the political landscape, and shaped my world

The facts and figures in this piece are largely from two places: “Twenty ways the 2010 election made history“, (posted at San Francisco Chronicle) and posts and links from “Endgame” daily roundup) and other articles at the Daily Politics blog. Kimberly writes: Yesterday, I discovered that the overall affect that this election had on me [...]

Eliot Katz: Ginsberg and the NY Times article on the Beats & the Tea Party

Dear Friends (who were also friends of Allen’s): In the October 10th New York Times Book Review, there was an article by Lee Siegel comparing the views of Beat Generation writers, including Allen’s, to the right-wing Tea Party movement. I wrote a letter to the Book Review editor in response because I thought it was [...]

Related [...]

Green Party New York: Hawkins Challenges Cuomo to Embrace Democracy and Agree to Open Debates

“After the primary, Andy Cuomo told the media that he has the same Tea Party agenda as Paladino but he would be more effective than ‘Crazy Carl’ by cutting public spending without offensive remarks. How is it that in one of the most liberal states in the country the media wants to pretend that only [...]
