In Hauppauge, peace demo at 4pm 1/13/07

Previous Vigil at Dennison Building(See previous post below)

Today, Saturday, January 13th at 4 o’clock

There will be a protest against the escalation in Iraq, this coming Saturday, 1/13/07, taking place at the Armed Forces Plaza in Hauppauge, 100 Veterans Highway, right in front of the H Lee Dennison Building. It will be held from 4 pm to 5:30 pm.

The H. Lee Dennison Building is the big state building directly on 454, on the same road, though a bit west of MacArthur airport. The H. Lee Dennison building has a kind of statue garden in front of it and a big stretch of lawn.

There was a recent vigil there to honor the 3,000 soldiers who died. That vigil was led by Long Island Veterans for Peace and was very well-attended with a wonderful spirit (and a bagpipe player.)
