Edgewood preserve events 10/18- 10/19/08

Especially — a reminder of this weekend’s events:

SATURDAY 10/18/08 at 9AM — a bird walk led by the Great South Bay Audubon Society.  Don’t miss a wonderful opportunity to walk Edgewood and learn about its diverse bird life from some of the best birders around.

SUNDAY 10/19/08 at 1PM — an update about the proposed Pilgrim Intermodal Facility: since the veto by the Governor of the Edgewood bill — what’s happening? what’s next? and what you can to help! Don’t miss this outdoor, town hall style event — local elected officials, some who are on the ballot this November will likely be there to say a few words.  We encourage you to attend and ask questions and press them for their positions on this important issue.
Once again, the fall issue of our newsletter has been delayed by two weeks due to just too much to do and not enough hands…..we hope to get it out to all of you by early next week.  Thanks for your patience and thanks for your continued support.

Look forward to seeing you at the preserve!
