  • Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire: Ultimate Fan Guide on Smashwords

Launch of new Georgiana blog and review of the book/movie/DVD

KW: I am so excited to have launched a new Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire blog. I read the biography, Georgiana Duchess of Devonshire, by Amanda Foreman back in 2006, and have been excited about Georgiana’s life story ever since.

The new blog is called, “Georgiana Circle: Women Healing History.” It already contains content about: Georgiana’s life; English history; women’s history; feminism; fashion; women in politics; etc. It is designed to be very interactive, a place for women to talk about women in history and to suggest other links. Yesterday, in its first day of existence, two women already published comments.

Also at Georgiana Circle is my new review of” the book, the movie The Duchess, and the DVD. The review is: here. It is very extensive, compares all the versions of the story, and comments on the performances of Keira Knightley and Ralph Fiennes. It also discusses how each version of the story does or does not touch on feminism and women’s rights.

(All the links on this page go to the same place. I really hope you will visit…)
