An apparent suicide on Wednesday became the eighth detainee to die at Guantanamo Bay, the U.S. military said.

The detainee, a 37-year-old Afghan known as Inayatullah, was an admitted Al Qaeda member who had been imprisoned at Guantanamo since September 2007 and was being held without any charges filed against him…
