Is this union news related to Occupy Wall Street?

KW: I can’t help but wonder if the background pressure that Occupy Wall Street is putting on corporate accountability and economic justice is part of the reason that this deal was settled, and in a way that seems to be better for workers than things often go.  Wednesday, there will be a labor rally connected with Occupy Wall Street.

Ford, UAW agree on new labor contract: union
October 4, 2011

(Reuters) – Ford Motor Co and the United Auto Workers union have reached tentative agreement on a new four-year labor contract, the union said on Tuesday.

No further details were disclosed, but the Detroit News said the deal will create or save 12,000 jobs, including 7,000 the company previously said it would create through next year…
