Take Back Oak Beach Park

Suffolk Legislator Jon Cooper wants to create an eco-park in Suffolk, but has not sited it yet.  The Town of Babylon got the old OBI property in a deal with Suffolk County to overdevelop it with a hotel and a catering hall.  Please call your legislator and tell them you would like the county to take back Oak Beach Park to put the Eco-park there.  You can contact them at www.co.suffolk.ny.us/legis/

Suffolk County Legislator Jon Cooper’s (D-Huntington) resolution to establish an Ecology and Technology Park (Eco-Tech Park) in Suffolk County has been approved. The park is expected to be unique in comparison to other county parks, as it will provide a hands-on learning environment within a serene park setting. While a site has not yet been chosen, the enthusiasm for the formation of the park is already growing, as the possibilities are “unlimited,” according to Cooper.  For the rest of the article click here
