Inconvenient truth: Bellone favors global warming 7/10/06

It seems that the “inconvenient truth” is that Democratic Babylon Town Supervisor Steve Bellone has the same policy on global warming as Republican President George W. Bush.  Bellone is using town resources to oppose windmills on the rich, white shores of Amityville while he shoved a smokestack plant down the throats of West Babylon/Wyandanch residents.  Show you oppose global warming:

We Need Your Help!  Please Show Your Support for wind energy on Monday, July 10 at 7 PM.

Important Public Meetings on the proposed Long Island Offshore Wind Park will be held on July 10 and 11.
We need your help in making a case for moving forward with this proposal that would generate enough pollution-free electricity from our abundant offshore breezes to power 44,000 Long Island homes.

Please try to attend and speak at the Monday meeting if at all possible.

The public meeting dates are as follows:
July 10, 2006, 7 PM at West Babylon High School Performing Arts Center
500 Great East Neck Road, West Babylon, NY 11704
July 11, 2006, 7 PM at Massapequa High School (auditorium)
4925 Merrick Road, Massapequa, NY 11758
Registration for each meeting will begin on site at 5:30 p.m.
It is suggested that you come early and sign up to speak.

More information on the offshore wind park and the Public Scoping Meetings held by the Minerals Management Service is available at our www.WindWorks4LI.org website.

Kindly let us know if you will be attending via e-mail RELI@optonline.net
and if you would like driving directions and some suggested talking points e-mailed to you.

Please forward this message to anyone who may have an interest in clean energy.

Thank you for supporting renewable energy for Long Island,
