Here are the details about our Yule Ritual for December 17, 2006 — I’ll be sending out a separate e-mail in a few days about what kind of help is needed in order to have this event run smoothly. The Yule Ritual is also open to friends and family who are interested in earth-based spirituality, witchcraft, etc. I

The darkness is all around us and in us. Blessed be to the longest night. We are wrapped in the cave of the crone’s winter womb. The sun and earth seem to stand still, the breath of nature is suspended; forces of the nurturing and healing darkness are at work. On this longest night, we give birth to hope.
You are invited to join us in sacred space as we celebrate the dark and welcome the light of the sun returning with a ritual that involves meditation, song, dance, poetry, reflection about our lives and our hopes, participation, inspiration and more.
Please bring:
Ready-to-serve finger foods (appetizers, fruit, healthy snacks) or non-alcoholic beverage for our after-ritual enjoyment.
A non-perishable food item for a local food pantry
A donation of $5 to $10. to help cover the cost of space rental and miscellaneous expenses
This is the night to shine in the light of the returning sun. You may choose to wear sparkly clothing and/or glitter, or you may choose to dress comfortably in a way that expresses who you are.
Please note that all Reclaiming events are drug and alcohol free
