Spring Hike at Edgewood Tomorrow 3/24/07

Hello all,

Just a reminder that our spring hike is tomorrow, Saturday, March 24 at 3pm.

Meet in parking area.

We will walk through easy, mostly flat wooded trails to the buried railroad spur and then head over to the old bridge on Commack Road, then head back to the parking area.  We will walk approximately 4 miles total.  Should last about 2 to 2 1/2 hours.

The Preserve will likely be muddy in some areas, due to the snow and ice last weekend and the warm weather this week…….lots of water.  So, wear your hiking boots or sturdy shoes that you don’t mind getting some water/mud on them.

It is not supposed to rain tomorrow.  The hike will go on as planned, unless it is RAINING AT 3:00PM!

Look forward to seeing you then!

If you have any questions about the hike, you can e-mail me or call hike leader, Denis Byrne at 631-836-2616.

Cheers and thanks for your support,
Patricia Burkhart
P.S.  Our spring newsletter is ready!  It will be sent to all of you over the weekend.
