4th Welcome to Boog City Poetry/Music Festival 9/24-9/28/10 NYC

Last year's posterFrom Fri. Sept. 24-Tues. Sept. 28 we’ll be putting on the fourth annual Welcome to Boog City poetry and music festival, a fundraiser for our press and community newspaper. Here are links to the first three festivals’ programs:

The breakdown for this year’s festival is

FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 24, 7:00 P.M.

Sidewalk Café (94 Ave. A, at E.6th St.)
We’ll be kicking off the festival with poets, two poets TBD in conversation with one another, smaller musical acts, full bands, and Tom Waits’ Bone Machine album performed live.

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 25, 12:00 P.M.


Unnameable Books (600 Vanderbilt Ave., bet. Prospect Pl. & St. Marks Ave., Brooklyn)
Poets and musical acts performing nonstop during our 7th annual small, small press fair. The day will also feature readings from poets representing the exhibiting presses.

SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 26, 12:00 P.M.

We conclude the festival with the first date of season eight of our d.a. levy lives: celebrating the renegade press series, where each month we have a different non-NYC small press host its authors and a musical act.
