Early returns for Long Island school budget votes. As of 11:36pm, Newsday reports that 10 districts have had their budgets fail so far: Westbury, Port Jefferson, W. Hempstead, Elwood, Herricks, Garden City, Levittown, E. Rockaway, West Babylon, Wyandanch.

Hofstra to 1/3 of Voters: Drop Dead, Again

Hofstra has a history of ignoring and/or dismissing third party candidates. At the 2008 Presidential, real, third party candidates were not allowed. This time, in 2010, Hofstra is hosting a “Renew New York Initiative” which is only inviting the two, major parties, and will be aired on Newsday/News 12, ironically, an oppressive media duopoly.
