Nassau County jail: Man being held reported to have committed suicide

Update 10/28/2010: There has been another reported suicide at Nassau County Jail. The man’s name is Herve Jeannot. Story: here.

Cops: Robbery Suspect Committed Suicide at Nassau Jail

A 31-year-old Bethpage man who was being held at Nassau County jail on robbery and drug charges hanged himself on Tuesday evening, Nassau County police said.

Gasparino Godino was found hanging in his cell at 6:05 p.m…

This is the second suicide at the jail in East Meadow this year. A Brooklyn man also hanged himself in January.
