Original post:

KW writes: Schools throughout Long Island will be having budget votes and school board elections on Tuesday, May 17th.

There is a write-up about the elections in this Sunday’s Newsday (on-line is subscription-only).

For great coverage of Babylon Village and North Babylon elections, see “The Beacon Shopper” and “The Babylon Beacon” newspapers in print.

Please express your opinion by voting. And, please consider becoming active at democracy-building in your school district. The “yes/no” votes are very wrong and un-empowering. Schools should be required to offer choices, with a menu-item budget!
