Hey all,
So in the midst of writing and recording the new acoustic disc, I’ve been involved with some other wonderful, spirited, and exciting projects.
I just uploaded some music from what for the moment is known as the Orient Point Sessions. This is the brain child of trumpeter Scott Tweedie, who some of you have seen at my recent acoustic gigs. Scott gave a ring a few weeks back with the idea of gathering up a diverse group of musicians and making a record at his house in Orient. All improvisational and in the spirit of one of our heroes, Miles Davis. Just very free, moving wherever the music wanted to go. Our location couldn’t have been more perfect, Scott home sits on a hill overlooking the Atlantic.
So, one warm night in March, Tweed (Trumpet), Mark (Drums) and Scott (Moog, Organ) from the Montauk Project, and I (Electric Guitar) met up, set up the gear and hit the button. We recorded nearly four hours of music and hope to share all of it at some point.
