Updates to People’s President Page

Kimberly with the brave women of Seneca FallsHello! Today I have done some much needed catching up on the People’s President Page. When I neglect my duties too much, I take hope in the fact that I also send people to www.politics1.com, where Ron G. keeps things running like clockwork (except when he is on vacation, as he is now!)

If you would be so kind to send people to my People’s President Page, where there are more–not less–candidates for U.S. President, you can send people to my separate URL at: www.peoplespresidentpage.com.

Today, I have done lots of updates… Put a comment by Cindy Sheehan’s name, noting that she is now running for Congress, instead of President (I will reluctantly take her down from my page sometime soon.); Added a listing of a new party, because I found two candidates running in the same party – Independent American Party, candidates Paul Jensen and Arnold M. Jones; Added a slew of new independent candidates who I found listed at politics1. (Apologies, I will have to get to posting their web-sites later today or another day.)

New candidates added include: Donald Allen, Blake Ashby, Clark Braxton, Richard Clark, Don Cordell, Claire Cruise, Michael Elder, Jon Greenspon, Jack Grimes, Brad Lord-Leutwyler, Joe Martyniuk, David Masters, Charles Maxham, James McCall, Phillip Morrow, Jeff Petkevicius, Gary Rostad, Charles Symonds, Michael Tienken, Lisa Weltman, Carl Whitaker, Ruth White, Kelcey Wilson and Frank Zilaitis. Congratulations to all these wonderful people for taking the ultimate plunge into participatory democracy!

I have to confess that the major party candidates list is probably getting out of date. I guess I think that a lot of other people take care of them and their publicity, so I don’t have to worry about them so much. But, in the interest of balance, and me being more fair then “them”, I will try to address those lists soon, too.

I happen to be a Green Party member. And, I had the pleasure of attending the GP-US Annual National Meeting in Reading, Pennsylvania. There are lots of posts and video here on the wilderside blog about that meeting.

People who enjoy the People’s President Page would probably be interested in the Green Party Presidential Forum video from that meeting. There is video of lots of great candidates–and some not so great candidates–who have announced their intentions to seek the Green Party line for President 2008. Since neither Ralph Nader nor Cynthia McKinney have officially announced yet, they are only names listed on the video. Though, both candidates attended other events in Reading, and video of those appearances is listed on the wilderside blog as well.

If you read this far, I am grateful. Thanks for caring about democracy, and thank you for reading our blog.

Peace,
Kimberly Wilder

  1. No one is holding discussion groups with any of the Independent Candidates, yet 60% of the registered voters are now Independents. It’s a forgone conclusion that only a Democrat or Republican is going to be elected. People are tired of the treason by both parties who have not protected our borders, have not protected our cities while Illegal Alien crime is rampant. Why? If citizens don’t elect Don Cordell in 2008, our wonderful government will enact the Security and Prosperity Partnership with Mexico and Canada in 2010, and remove our borders, end our Constitution, and Bill of Rights. The Military
Commissions Act of 2006 ended your rights to a trial in court, you can be detained without any rights if you demonstrate against any goverment action, and be placed in Detention Centers, as an enemy combatant. Using REX 84 of 1984 plan that gives our government the right to detain you without trial in times of danger. How dare you speak up when your country is being destroyed, just stay home, watch the ball game, and let y0ur leaders run us in to the ground. Jobs gone, Chinese products in everystore. Inflation killing you, and you had better love it, it will get worse.
