What’s fair: Democrats, Republicans, and precedent in Texas

In Texas, the Democratic Party and Republican Party screwed up, and did not file some paperwork on time. It appears that this means that neither the Democratic nor Republican nominees for President should be on the ballot in Texas.

Ballot Access News notes that there is some case law and precedent suggesting that the candidates should not be penalized as off-the-ballot due to these problems. Though, there are also recent actions where Ralph Nader was not given leniency.
