Troy Davis scheduled for execution on Wed. Sept 21: Take action

Update: Troy Davis died at 11:08pm Georgia time. The media who were allowed inside will be coming out to do interviews with the other press.

Update: At 10:22pm, Democracy Now! reports that the Supreme Court has denied the stay. It seems expected that Troy Davis will be executed soon.

10:41pm: DN! reports that prison officials say that Troy Davis will be executed in about a half hour. (I think they may have said “within the hour”, I think the process of strapping Troy Davis down may be starting now.)

Amnesty International had reported:

“Georgia’s State Board of Pardons and Paroles has recently rejected Troy Davis’ clemency petition. Davis continues to face execution on Wed., Sept. 21 at 7 pm EDT.”
